This policy will enable doctors to send prescriptions to pharmacists via Internet in attempts to reduce inaccuracy in medications; quicken prescription process and help doctors in tracking patient’s medications. This is also more comfortable for consumers as they only need to present their Medicare detail and the medications can be accessed at any pharmacies.
Moreover, this is a new system that can help the Government to monitor doctors’ prescribing habits and know how many scripts are written. The process has involved the Federal Government, the federal health department and the Pharmacy Guild that have been working closely to create key standards and ensure the security of e-prescription. The government is also taking proposals from parties who interested in this system. The most important thing is to ensure doctors and pharmacists connect to Internet broadband.
I would say that this is an innovative and unique system that a developed country like Australia can do. It seems to me that developing countries such as Indonesia is still far from this possibility. However, who can ensure the security and privacy of this method of prescribing?
wow... nice system *send prescriptions to the pharmacy via Internet* good info doc :-)
ReplyDeletee-prescription will be great for patient safety campaign, and yes,I agree with u, security and privacy are another questions to make health transaction more secure. They will use Internet, not just intranet.→ nurse:great adsense site pak..ajarin dong.. :D
ReplyDeleteMoreover, this is a new system that can help the Government to monitor doctors’ prescribing habits and know how many scripts are written....sesuatu yang selama ini jadi benteng besar dan tidak bisa ditembus...
ReplyDelete@Nurse: Thanks kunjungannya. Eh ajarin AdSense juga dong pak@Dani: The federal government claims that this system will be the most secure system in the world. Some States have even already started using e-prescription. Just wait and see@YusufYup di Indo agaknya susah diterapkan jadi benteng itu masih akan tetap ada. Sekarang tergantung individu dokter masing2.
ReplyDeletehmmm, it's interesting. In some modern hospitals in Jakarta, I think doctors' prescription are keyed in on-line to the pharmacies, by staffs who read the prescriptions, not by the doctors. salam.
ReplyDelete@CockHi Cock, nice to hear from you. Ya begitulah dispensing masih menjadi lahan dokter. Sistemnya masih memungkinkan, jadi masih perlu waktu yang lama untuk membuat semuanya jadi ideal.@AroengbinangThanks for your comment, it seems to me that the city such as Jakarta who has broad choices of internet facilities and providers should try to implement this scheme.Tunggu kunjungan balasan.. Ta link ya?
